Abex Group partnered with a biotech startup in India focused on developing mRNA vaccines and therapies for infectious and autoimmune diseases. While the science was strong and early preclinical data promising, the company faced significant hurdles in securing GMP-certified facilities, navigating India’s regulatory landscape, and attracting later-stage capital. To address these challenges, we facilitated strategic alliances with leading mRNA research centers in South Korea and established partnerships with CROs in China and Singapore. We also advised on regional clinical trial design, supported the development of modular GMP units, and prepared the team for licensing negotiations with global pharmaceutical companies. As a result, the startup has secured new funding and is preparing to initiate clinical trials across India, targeting tropical diseases and rare immune conditions with urgent unmet needs.
